Hello_world

👋 Hey, I'm Manu, and I've been a front-end developer for 6 years, and have been working on the web for over 10 years. I love developing solutions for problems.

Work

Before becoming a developer, I've finished my studies in Denmark, with a focus on branding, marketing and design. Development has been a natural and complementary addition to my skill set.

I've touched, played, wrangled and worked with loads of apps, frameworks, libraries and programming languages.

Most of the Adobe suite (when some of them were Macromedia products), Figma, Zeplin, HTML5, XHTML (who even remembers that?), CSS3 (and under), PHP, Java (with some Android around version 3), Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, Ruby on Rails, .NET, ObjectiveC, Swift, nginx, MongoDB, SVN, git. And some web libs/frameworks; jQuery, Backbone, Grunt, Bower, Gulp, Less, Sass, Pug, erb, Ionic (Cordova), Handlebars, Moustache, Bootstrap, Foundation, SemanticUI, ChakraUI, MaterialUI, Angular, React/Native (before it was cool), Webpack, Nodejs, SailsJs, Express, Mongoose, NextJS, Gatsby, OAuth, Auth0. And I'll stop there, cause I can't remember how many more I've worked with.

Am I great in all of them?

Absolutely not.

But I am great in some of them. By far, my main technical strength is in the JavaScript world. I've built web applications in Angular and React for the 6 past years, mostly internal tools and solutions for medium to large companies, together with backend teams that worked in .NET, PHP, Python, using either REST API's, OpenAPI or some sprinkle of GraphQL. These years also brought me together with updating, improving, polyfilling or re-writing legacy codebases. Sometimes moving prototypes to alpha stages. Sometimes adding state management. Sometimes creating a scaffold for a design library. Sometimes sparking discussions on accessibility and auditing applications.

But after all, tools are just a means to an end, so I focus my work on results and build with pillars in mind.

Stability, accessibility, clean code, responsiveness, performance and a good user experience to tie it together.

I want to work with people that are passionate about their craft, products and services, and I want to help them achieve their goals by providing value.

So, what can I do for you?

Depends on what you need. I do tailored work for each and every situation, so it's difficult to say precisely what can I offer without having a better overview of your particular situation.

You might need consulting, an MVP, a prototype, a e-commerce solution, performance audit and fixes, help with accessibility, promotion on your product, developing a new internal solution. Maybe you don't need my help at all.

The bottom line is, I won't know until you let me know what situation you're facing and what problem you're trying to solve.
